DESCRIPTION:During work week\, Kate shared a short video of a young boy Caine\, his cardboard arcade and the stranger who discovered him while shopping for a car door handle at his father’s auto parts shop in Los Angelos. The Chestnut team was moved (almost to tears) at Caine\, his imagination and the magic of humanity. The Imagination Foundation was inspired by the global response of the short film “Caine’s Arcade.” Through their website\, we discovered that the Global Cardboard Challenge and Day of Play are being celebrated together this year. We also value every child as a creative\, full of potential and critical thinkers of the 21st century. DESCRIPTION:Our year 2/3 class have been learning about ‘chance and probability’ this term.  We have also been exploring ways to recycle and upcycle to help minimise the rubbish that ends up in our ocean.  As an end of term project we will collect cardboard from our school community and design a range of games for an arcade.  We will invite our fellow students and parents in to participate.
