SUMMARY:Critical thinking in school children
DESCRIPTION:Year 4 students are currently inquiring into cyclic sustainability and are looking at how boidegradable and non-biodegradable products can be reused or upcycled rather than thrown away. The cardboard challenge is a great way to get them to think of creative ways to repurpose cardboard boxes and also emphasises that STEAM isn’t just about fancy gadgets or coding. STEAM is about solving problems within parameters\, with ongoing prototyping. Making games out of cardboard is also a very low-cost project\, which means students can create lots of prototypes and go through many feedback cycles.
